Whether your site is established or the smoke from registering it has barely cleared, definitely sign up for Google’s Webmaster Tools. If you already have a Google account, you can just log in and add your site(s). If you don’t have a Google account, it just takes a second. Both the account and the Webmaster Tools are absolutely free.
Go here. Log in. Add your site’s URL and seconds later, you can go through all the stats, search terms used to find you, check for broken links and best of all see your site the way Google sees it. You can learn if Google has any problems with your site and how to fix them.
With Google being the search engine of choice for the majority of earthlings, getting your site to be on good terms with Google is essential for your site’s health and growth. Take some time to get used to Google’s many (some VERY useful) free tools.
